Hope you are all well and had a good Easter.  We had quite a few people for Nyung Na fasting retreat over 2 days at the Centre, which was great!

Also, many people went to the Northern Dharma celebration where Kadam Bridget gave excellent teachings and the blessing empowerment of Vajrasattva at Madhyamaka centre.  What great good fortune!

This weekend:


Wishfulfilling Jewel Fri evening as usual;
Vajrayogini Sat morning 7am;
OFSG on Sun evening at 7pm.
Both FP and TTP are sitting an exam on Sunday morning 10am - 1pm.

Then Universal Compassion will start on mon evening and Joyful path part 4 on thurs one session at 7pm.

Upcoming Events

We have a day course on 1st may  10am - 2pm 'meditations on the clarity of the mind',  encouraging people to discover the peace and  tranquillity within the mind and gaining concentration on this.

Also 15th May day course 'The true nature of things'

22nd May a country walk organised by Andy and Jean - Sat afternoon.

Welcome to the Easter newsletter. There are quite a lot of events coming up including prayers at the centre, courses at Madhyamaka, Buddha’s Enlightenment Day, a day course and a country walk - so lots to look forward to!

Update: It has been a good term; our branches in Lincoln, Grimsby, and Barton have been running well thanks to Jen, Lesley, Neil Wilkyn, Michael, Ed and many others being willing to help run these, bringing the precious Dharma to Lincolnshire.

Some of us took time out on our annual retreat at Tara Centre - what a great retreat on Meditation and Mindfulness. Everyone enjoyed it and felt that they had a real opportunity to relax and work on transforming their minds.

GP finishes this week with a 2 week break returning April 13th/14th in Hull/Lincs.

This Thursday (tomorrow) is Offering to the Spiritual Guide at 7pm at the Centre- everyone is welcome to take part in this.

Madhyamaka Easter course

Over Easter there is an excellent course at Madhyamaka centre on Wisdom

Friday Prayers

Our centre will be open for prayers each Friday at 7pm

Buddha’s Enlightenment Day

April 15th is Buddha's enlightenment day - Nyung Na - a 10 million multiplying day - we do special prayers with the Buddha of Compassion making purification and many prostrations:

• 6.30 am precepts followed by session 1
• 10.30 session 2
• 6 pm session 3

It is possible to do the 1st and last sessions if you are working but mainly you do all 3 sessions (we do this practice April 14th as well so 2 days)

Northern Dharma Celebration

On April 16th - 18th we have the annual Northern Dharma Celebration at Madhyamaka centre - this year it is the Vajrasattva Empowerment with NKT spiritual director Bridget Hayes and teachings on purification, so a great opportunity to come together

Day Course

April 30th is a day course at our centre on ‘Meditations for a Pure Clear Mind’ 10am til 2 pm with lunch

Country Walk

Finally, Jean and Andy and Niall are planning our next country walk for early next term- so we'll keep you posted and look forward to that!
